How to get pattern into glyphs

Well, this is what you'd do; type up the words at the required point size using your favorite bitmap editor, (eg: Paint Shop Pro 5 - 7, NOT photoshop 'cause it sucks). Then make a selection from the glyphs (the letters), or select the glyph areas with the magic wand selection tool. Save the selecion to an alpha channel or as an independent file to disc. Make a mask from the selection; make sure the masked area lies outside the glyphs, ie: the white unmasked area should be in the shape of the glyphs, the black mask area the shape outside the glyphs.

Having created the mask bring in aforesaid animal print pattern as a layer or a selection of sufficient size UNDERNEATH the mask layer. The mask will "mask off" the area outside the glyphs, leaving the pattern in the shape of the letters (glyphs) Mmm...kay. Mmmkay?

That's it. You'll need to flatten the image of course for final print to screen, file, bitmap etc, and depending on your choice of color for the original text you may need to turn (that) initial layer off to make it invisible, or change the blend method, opacity, et al so the original text doesn't interfere with the animal print.

This is the best I can do in the short time I've alotted to answering queries today.

Best of luck

Kind regards, James
